Seven Unmissable Outdoor Adventures in Las Vegas

Have you ever wanted to go on a vacation somewhere so amazing that it just takes your breath away? Just close your eyes, and think of what you want in a place. For me, when I close my eyes, all I see is a place lit up with colorful lights, streets filled with people you can’t take your eyes off, amazing hotels, best-in-class food, and with all that, a scenic view with some adventure to boost that adrenaline.

When this happens, I can think of only one place in the whole world, and that place is none other than the mesmerizing LAS VEGAS!

Don’t worry. Almost everyone who hears “Las Vegas” gets an ecstatic rush, and all they can think about is hotels and casinos and partying like there is no tomorrow. Ohh, those limousine rides from your hotel to a classy bar where you plan to have drinks with your friends, and even strangers if you are lucky, and those Russian Roulette games you play, wishing to take a buttload of money back to your hotel room and roaming the streets of the city that never sleeps.

You want to feel as if the world is at your feet, don’t you?? Well, I’d be worrying if you don’t feel this way while thinking about Las Vegas.

So If you too are like me and upon closing your eyes, you see what I see, pack your bags, book your tickets and fly off to the amazing city of Nevada. Don’t wait. Life is short. Just go out there and live your life to the fullest.

Vegas is such a place where you want to get lost, and I mean lost, because no matter where you go in the city, you’ll feel lively. The moment you see the world-famous “Welcome to Las Vegas Nevada” signboard, you start thinking about lavish casinos and drinks that’ll make you go bonkers and make you do things you wouldn’t remember the next morning. Bite me if I am wrong here.

The moment you enter Vegas, if you aren’t staying there already, you want to blend into the glamour because if you look around yourself while standing on the streets of Vegas at night, all you’d see is bling and people dressed to their best. But Vegas is not only about hotels and casinos and getting lost in the magic of the city. All that is just one side of the coin.

The other side is the complete opposite. If you choose some people at random and ask their views about Las Vegas as a city and what they think about it, most of them would say about the things we discussed above. Not many people know that Vegas has an adventurous side too. Yes, you read that right. Adventure in the city of gambling and parties, and trust me, it is worth experiencing. There are several outdoor activities that you can do while in Las Vegas that’ll give you an experience of a lifetime. Listed below are 7 of the best outdoor adventure activities you can do in Las Vegas:

  1. Real-life Shooting experience

Everyone has heard about how guns fire, and I am sure many of you would’ve played video games where you need to shoot targets, and I am also sure that a lot of you would want to do that in real life. What if I say that you can? Las Vegas has several shooting ranges (indoor and outdoor)where you can get this thrilling experience for just $60.

Hold on, and the best part is, it is not only for adults. This activity is for all ages, you need to be above ten years of age, and you are good to go. You get all varieties of guns, ranging from a gun as small as a Mouser to as big as a Machine gun! We have seen Rambo and James Bond movies and thought of using those pieces of machinery in real life. Well, 60 bucks are all it takes! So what are you waiting for?? Go out there and be Rambo or The Terminator, or whoever you want to be!

  2. Exotic Supercars driving experience on real race tracks

Next in line comes such an experience that once had, no one can ever forget for the rest of their lives. Xtreme Experience in Las Vegas gives you an opportunity that lets you drive some of the best cars in the world, that too on real race tracks to give you an experience as if you were in a real race driving a supercar or a sports car.

We know that not all of us can buy these cars, but we sure can rent them for five laps. You can rent these cars with a base rate of $250, which increases with the model of the car you choose to drive.

Imagine buying one of these for $250,000 and getting to drive one for $250, not a bad deal, right? So the next time you are in Vegas, don’t forget to hit the throttle on these tracks and get that adrenaline kick.

  3. Ride a helicopter to the Grand Canyon

Suppose you are a photographer or a cinematographer whose dream is to capture some of the world’s most beautiful and scenic views in your lense; congratulations! You are one step closer to that dream if you are in Nevada or planning to go there. We have heard or read about the beautiful Grand Canyon. It is the home of gigantic red rocks and, by all means, has a breathtaking view.

Mustang Helicopters in Las Vegas gives you a chance to capture this beauty from a whole different point of view. For $450, you can see the Grand Canyon from the best possible angle. This helicopter ride shows you everything your eyes can see from the top. Trust me, and it’s one of those mesmerizing moments that you want never ends. Those mixtures of red and orange and yellow colors make you want to stay there forever. Include this in your Vegas bucket list for sure.

  4. Jumping off the Stratosphere Tower

The Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod, were earlier known as the Stratosphere Tower. It is the tallest Observation Tower in the United States of America. It is an all-in-one tower that includes a revolving restaurant at the top, where you can enjoy delicacies and view the whole city, several observation decks with telescopes, and a few rides.

But the most amazing and thrilling part of this tower is, you get to jump from the top! Who thought you could jump off of buildings, right? Well, it’s Vegas. Anything is possible. For just $130, you can get the experience people only dream of doing someday. Just imagine this. It’s dusk time. The sun has almost set, and the buildings have lit with lights, and it is all colorful around you. You jump off the building. The cool breeze brushes past your face, and you are having one of the best times of your life. Ecstatic.

  5. Hiking in the Valley of Fire

All hikers, campers, and rock climbers head up!! You probably won’t get a better hiking experience in your life. The Valley of Fire is a State Park with a public recreation and a natural preservation ground spread over approximately 40,000 acres. It gets its name from the red sandstone formations all around the place. This place is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.

With an entrance fee of $10(on foot) and $14(with a vehicle), you can come here for a picnic with your family, set camp for a night with your friends, rock climb, trek and hike. Even cyclists come here for a good and adventurous ride. Not only this, the State Park authority hosts an Annual Atlatl Competition where participants test their spear-making skills and try to replicate them with ancient spears.

  6. Kayaking in the Colorado River

On number 6, we have something which is not only exciting and adventurous but scary too. Kayaking is a water sport that uses a Kayak boat that uses dual bladder paddles to move back and front. Kayaks can be short and long, which means they can be used by one person or more than one.

The Emerald Cave Kayak tour of the Colorado River gives you an amazing experience to explore the beautiful Colorado River and its caves in a Kayak for about $140. It is a must if you are in the Rocky mountains to go Kayaking in Colorado. You get to be close to nature and experience the scenic beauty of the place.

  7. Zip Lining

Last on the list, but certainly not the least, comes Zip lining. There is no need to explain what zip lining means. You either escalate or de-escalate using a rope. But everything in Vegas happens in style, and so does Zip lining.
There are several Zip lining spots in Las Vegas you can go to. You can zip line at the top of the Rocky Mountains, from one mountain to another with nothing but a pit in between the two rocks and you stuck on a zip line for about $80, or experience the famous FLY LINQ Zipline for $30, where you are launched from 114 feet above the tower and travel about 1100 feet at a whopping speed of 40 miles per hour.

Las Vegas is one of those places around the world which gives you a 2 in 1 experience. On the one hand, you get to see authentic Vegas, where you gamble in casinos and stay in lavish hotels and treat yourself to mouth-watering food.

But, on the other hand, you get to explore the adventures of the place where you can give yourself an experience of a lifetime and give yourself an adrenaline rush that you’ll never forget. But, in the end, I can promise you one thing. When you go to bed and revisit all these places in your head, you will not be disappointed for sure.
